It covers a total area of 123 thousand hectares, while an average yield is about 95 quintals/ha. A total production of tea in the country equals 1.02 million tons.

Ministry of Industry and Trade claimed that tea exports reached 58,000 tons (USD 94.9 million) in the first half of 2021. In comparison to the previous year, it increased by 0.3% in volume and 4.4% in value.

Vietnamese tea price is two times less than average price in the world

Due to the fact that Vietnam used to have a bad reputation for using pesticides previously, its tea is relatively cheap. However, currently, the Vietnamese government takes measures to develop safe, chemical-free industry.
